Your rights regarding personal data processed by Lead-Spy
About Our Data Practices
Lead-Spy compiles property information from publicly accessible government records — including municipal permit databases, county property appraiser records, and open data portals — to identify homes with aging roofs. This data includes property addresses, owner names, mailing addresses, and building permit history.
This compiled data is provided to our customers (roofing contractors) for the purpose of targeted direct mail marketing.
Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, Lead-Spy provides all homeowners with the following rights:
Right to Opt Out: You may request that your property address be permanently excluded from all lead lists and direct mail campaigns generated through Lead-Spy. Submit your request at lead-spy.com/do-not-mail.
Right to Know: You may request a summary of what information Lead-Spy holds about your property. Email support@lead-spy.com with the subject line "Data Access Request."
Right to Correct: If information about your property is inaccurate (e.g., a recent roof replacement is not reflected), you can submit a correction request to support@lead-spy.com.
Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your data from our databases. Note that because our data is sourced from public records, your information may reappear in future data refreshes. To prevent this, we recommend also submitting an opt-out request, which permanently suppresses your address.
Colorado Residents
Under the Colorado Privacy Act (C.R.S. § 6-1-1301 et seq.), Colorado residents have the following additional protections:
Right to Opt Out of Sale: You may opt out of the sale of your personal data. Since our lead lists constitute a sale of personal data under the CPA, you can exercise this right by submitting a request at lead-spy.com/do-not-mail.
Right to Opt Out of Targeted Advertising: Lead-Spy does not use your personal data for targeted advertising directed at you as a consumer. Our advertising (Facebook, Google) targets roofing contractors, not homeowners.
Right to Appeal: If we deny your data rights request, you may appeal by emailing support@lead-spy.com with the subject line "Appeal - Data Rights." We will respond within 45 days. If you are unsatisfied with the appeal outcome, you may file a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General at coag.gov/file-complaint.
How to Submit a Request

All other requests: Email support@lead-spy.com — we will respond within 45 days
We may ask you to verify your identity by confirming ownership of the property address in question. We will never ask for sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or financial account details.
